CARB – California Ozone Generator
Regulations and A2Z Ozone

Compliance with CARB – California Air Resources Board

We at A2Z Ozone want our customers to be aware of the dangers of working with ozone. It is important to educate yourself before using any type of ozone generator. Air ozone generators are toxic to living organisms, including people, pets, and plants. Out of concern for its citizens, California implemented rules about air ozone generators.

We work to follow the regulations set forth by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). Over recent years, we have been in discussions with CARB. October 1, 2020, CARB amended the regulations for air ozone generators. To follow California regulations, air ozone generators need to pass a certification test. Because of the high ozone output, our air ozone generators cannot pass the certification. At the present time, we do not offer any air ozone generator that matches CARB ozone output standards.

CARB allows some exceptions, namely, for professionals who perform remediation and who understand the use of ozone. If you feel you have an exception, you can Contact Us. If we sell one to you, we require documentation of your business. It is our responsibility to keep records of every sale we make into California for the air ozone generators.

We sell water ozone generators to California, both for general use and industrial use. But, we cancel and refund all air ozone generator orders going into California.

If you have any questions, you can Contact Us. You can also contact CARB by email at [email protected] or by phone at 1-800-242-4450.
